Kuwaiti Food Spot - With thanks to Marybeth Alawadh Ortua

Lugaimat Arabic: لقيمات‎‎) – fried yeast dumplings made of flour, mashed potatoes & yogurt then soaked or drizzled with saffron syrup (sugar, lemon, cardamom and saffron). It is mostly prepared during the Holy month of Ramadan, it is one of the popular desserts made in that month & my favorite of all the desserts paired with a gah-wa (local Kuwaiti coffee made of mix grounded herbs).
