A friendly soccer match in Lebanon between Lebanon and Kuwait over the weekend didn't turn out to be so friendly when a huge brawl broke out after the final whistle. Lebanon lost the match 6-0 and apparently started the fight. Both teams were separated about one minute into the video, but the battle started up again at the 2:00 mark. The brawl even prompted the military to fire some warning shots in the air and at least one of the Lebanese players appeared to be bleeding from the head at the end of the video clip.

LWDLIK- Just got back from my MIL's and she was telling me about some problem between Kuwait and Lebanon but I thought I'd misunderstood her or that she was unnecessarily worried about Lebanon's fragile state, as she had been on the phone to family who are holidaying there and she was fretting about the dangers in Lebanon. She was also watching a sports programme on the TV (not her usual soaps) but I still didn't realise it was this. LOL ...Bless her, I really must listen more carefully next time.
