Would I Be Punished for Cursing My Ex-Husband if His Name was Mohammed?
Just a thought, and no I don't have any ex husbands - let alone one called Mohammed - but what if I did (hypothetically) then if I was to curse and swear at him would that mean I would be punishable by death? Just asking?
Sorry to have to say this but really dumb question that carries an insulting tone to islamic religion and beliefs. And to answer your question, if you were ever lucky enough to marry a muslim arab, no you would not be put to death for insulting him. "Inama ila3maalo bilniyaat" - The wrongness/properness of acts are measured by/based on intention.
Thank God I'm married to a liberal Kuwaiti Muslim by another name so you're wrong on that one. Your reply wasn't really very helpful but typical of the defensive answer one usually gets when asking a question.
I happen to believe blasphemy is wrong mainly because it is racially, religiously inciteful. But I personally believe that the death penalty is also wrong. This was a hypothetical question obviously too delicate a subject to be discussed.
