I noticed a lot of cars driving in the daylight today with their headlights on - in support of the Amir - a small gesture and message passed around to do so by those who wish to show their solidarity.
There is another opposition rally scheduled for this evening, but so far all seems quiet. Let's hope, after last night's speech which was a proud moment for most Kuwaitis, that tonight's demo will be peaceful. Inshallah.

ReplyDeleteThe good news is there was no spontaneus protest during the fireworks, had there been the situation would have been dire.
ReplyDeleteHi Dean Yes agree thought the same myself. Thankfully this evening's demo at Iradha Square was peaceful, seems 10s of thousands quietly rallied and have now gone home. I'm so glad it was without incident both yesterday and today. We'll have to wait and see what's next.
