Are Muslims getting a fair deal in India?


That will be the subject being debated at The Doha Debates, St. Stephen's college, Delhi, India. The programme will be shown on BBC World News Saturday, Feb 20 at 09:10 GMT repeated 22:10. Sunday, Feb 21 at 02:10 GMT repeated 15:10.

"In a fairly argumentative country like ours, where quibbles can snowball into rivalries and then riots, India has yet to master the art of peaceful disagreement. The Doha Debates can help us achieve it." The Hindustan Times.

  1. To debate of this issue, dont go by the number of riots and the media..Talk to common muslims and get the idea...

  3. Yoh Anon, right on dude. Do Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains. Are these people getting a fair deal? Can they openly practice their religion in a public allocated place in the Gulf? Are they allowed to build a place of worship???

    In India, everyone has a right to worship in a temple, church, mosque (a place built for them to worship). Saudi Arabia is the worst place in the world to be if you're a non-mulsim.
