The Art of Engagement:
Bringing the Community into the Creative Process
Presented By Lesli Robertson, Professor of Fibers at North Texas University.
Lesli comes to Q8 courtesy of the US Embassy on a Fulbright Specialist Grant to consult with Weavers of the Al Sadu Weaving Society.
The Lecture will highlight Ms Robertson's work in Uganda with artist, scholars, and activists engaged in preserving the unique material of Ugandan bark cloth and explore her work as an artist engaging with the community making large scale woven sculptures.
