Movies, Movies, Movies..

Just watched the King's Speech which was excellent. And now The Eagle starring Donald Sutherland, Jamie Bell and Channing Tatum has been released. In Roman-ruled Britain 140 AD, a young Roman soldier endeavors to honor his fathers memory by finding his lost legion's golden emblem.

And The Tempest starring Helen Mirren who plays Prospero (as Prospera), Russel Brand as Trinculo, Djimon Housno as Caliban and Tom Conti as Gonzalo; an amazing cast. It will be out here soon.

I love movies that teach you a little history and impart some knowledge. Will be taking my daughter to see the The Tempest because it will be a lot easier for her to read it later. Even if it's rated PG in Kuwait no need to worry about covering her eyes :OD If it doesn't make it through the strict censorship here - there's always the DVD man.

Update- The Eagle is here and showing at cinemas [link]
