Had such a blast at a fantastic wedding party. The decor alone was so gorgeous,. Soft pretty lighting that changed colour gradually and very slowly.
The parents were beaming with pride, brimming with happiness and were the most gracious hosts. Thank you xx
There were a few noticeable, personalised changes:
- The lighting, for one, was much more flattering for everyone. Didn't need sunglasses as we usually do and we could still see the bling and the army of red soles on the dance floor.
- The cutest pair of little cousins (3 and 6 years old) in the sweetest little dresses were dancing, smiling at all and having the time of their lives.
- The groom came ahead of the bride (usually she waits for him for a very long time alone on a sofa). She made a grand, elegant entrance looking like a beautiful, fairytale princess with her elated father leading her half way in (new and lovely addition, such a very proud moment for her dad). Kleenex tissue moments all round.
- The bride carried a perfect elegant pink rose bouquet (another first for me at a Kuwaiti wedding).
- Lots of live Arabic music, lots of dancing and even a DJ around 2.30am playing some funky disco sounds.
Fabulous!
We managed to crawl home around 3.30am, leaving them still partying. A great night and a fabulous way to start a married life together. Wishing them both lots of happiness, good health, love, blessings, beautiful babies and eternal patience ;O) xx
The bride's breathtaking jewelry was THE most dazzling bling I've ever seen on a woman, not even on QEII.
A humungous seafood buffet (of course there were many other choices too) and the largest arrangement of heavenly desserts. YUM!
The Kuwaiti ladies there were stunning, bodies TDF, the most stunning dresses. I'm loving these gals; obviously independant, free-thinking and loving life.
I was chatting with a friend of my husband (Kuwaiti guy married to a Kuwaiti lady) and I had commented on how beautiful the ladies were at the party, to which he said he was married. So, jokingly I said it's just window shopping then, to which he said no I have my one and only. Which I thought had to be one of the sweetest things to say about your wife and marriage. Bless him. Hope I blind my husband like that :OD
Ahhh! I'm back in love with wedding parties :O)
All of us who attended were blessed to be there, have fun and witness such a wonderful event, starting a life together.
