"Why would anyone rape a child? I’ll never ever understand, and I don’t buy this criminal’s motive no matter what.
The rapist is Pakistani this time and he was arrested by police for raping not 11 children as previously thought, but more than 30 boys in Jleeb al-Shuyoukh & Farwaniya, reports Al-Jareeda daily.
Acting on reports the suspect was arrested after several parents complained that the man took his victims to the roof of a building and raped them after threatening to stab them with a knife.
The suspect is said to have admitted to committing the crime and also showed police the knife with which he threatened his victims – he picked his victims from distant and deserted fields where boys played football, he would bribe them with money, a mobile phone or simply threaten them with his knife – the rapist also mentioned that he wore gloves and condoms to make sure not to leave a trace and often changed the crime location.
His motive? Apparently he was raped several times as child and this affected him so deeply he feels the urge to rape a child every time he meets one – correct me if I’m wrong, but if someone was raped as a child he would do anything in his power to stop people from doing the same to other children, no?"

LWDLIK- I saw this in the newspaper but it was in brief. Thank you for posting in English 965; it is a horrendous crime but maybe we should try to understand the motives.
I used to have a personal theory that here in the Middle East, rape among boys seemed to be handled better than in the West. I thought that here it seemed just like a physical pain more than an emotional one. No one seemed to be in therapy or blaming their rapists or perhaps it was just unmanly to talk about such things. Unlike the West where a sexually abused child/adult gets a lot of therapy. Obviously any rape victim needs therapy regardless of geographic location, culture or creed.
Of course this rapist must be punished for his crimes against these boys but please don't forget the boys need to see someone who can help them to cope with what happened.
Thanks for the credits LWDLIK. We translate stuff from Arabic papers sometimes for our English readers especially when the Arabic version is more elaborate.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck
I sincerely hope his victims and the thousands of victims of the catholic sex abuse cases in the west get the help they deserve to over come the ordeal.
ReplyDeleteI think he should be executed for this heinous crime. That would be a great deterrent.
ReplyDeleteI agree Anons! Sadly, it seems the perps are not rehabilatable. Don't think anyone would or should ever trust him around kids again.
