Nabeel Al Fadhel: Straight-Talker, Seeker of Progress and Champion of Patriotism

My husband and I are proud friends with Nabeel Al Fadhel. I really can not imagine anyone more perfect as an MP for this country. A super, intelligent man, compassionate, loyal, outspoken and fiercely patriotic. A provocative writer who's bravery and desire in exposing people has not always been received well. But time has revealed all. As long as we have known Nabeel it seems his destiny has always been to be part of the wheels of change here in his beloved country.

Last night, at my mother-in-law's family day, a very elderly family friend came to visit and told us of her evening listening to Nabeel at the Regency Hotel. She's in her late 70's and is politically active and cares deeply about the future of the country. No one had accompanied her, she had decided she would go alone to listen to what his views are. The audience turn-out was huge, estimates are 3000+ people showed up, causing a parking nightmare and a complete standstill on the Gulf Road, but she perservered.

How very impressed she was with him and how delighted when he came to thank her personally for coming. She also likes Safa Al Hashem and invited her to her home to talk to all her friends and family on her political views for change in Kuwait. My in-laws were inspired by her keen determination and hopefully they will all attend and listen to Safa.

Both Nabeel and Safa would be top of my list if I could vote. The country desperately needs fearless leadership to tackle the problems and steer the country towards progress.

  2. Where can I find more information on Mr. Al-Fadhel? I am looking for a secular candidate who is focused on the advancement of this country and not the juvenile fisticuffs of the past few years.

  5. Hi Anon, absolutely agree 100%.

You must be new here, do I seem that naive? :OD
Which is why you should really do your homework and not listen to rumours. We've known Nabeel more than 20 years, we know him and have heard most of the crazy stories people have told and continue to tell. Why is he such a threat? Because he could actually bring about the change he promises and deal with the many problems here? That could be pretty scary to many. Not to make a comparison but change is not an easy thing. When Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum started out as Crown Prince of Dubai, in 1995, he faced a fair bit of adversity too. Honestly, didn't we all think building the highest building in the world was a wee bit adventerous for the Emiratis. Weren't we all sure Dubai would fail and the bubble would burst. While HRH and the Emiratis just got on with it and you know how the story ends. You have to really want change and believe in it to make it happen.
