‘Writing from Experience’

In the first meeting participants will discover their creative writing skills. The workshop first begins with listening to music, drawing and ‘free’ writing as a ‘creative’ warm up. After that, participants are taken on a remembrance journey to a moment or incident in their lives where they were extremely happy or proud of themselves. Within an hour each participant will find himself or herself writing an original poem effortlessly.

Day 2

‘Writing your identity’

In our second meeting, participants will discover their unique writing style. The workshop begins with reading and comparing different writing styles by different writers, whether famous or unknown. They will then be asked to experience writing copy to go on packages of different products. This will help participant discover the existence of various writing styles and choose a writing style that suits his or her unique character.

Day 3

In our final meeting, participants will share with each other the poems they’ve written in our first meeting. We will try to discover traces of personal characteristics in each poem. This will bring together the experience of our first meeting with our second. For those who do not wish to read their poems out loud, they can bring in a favorite poem to share.
