Another irresistable treat from Ladurée arrived today. A seductive plate of buttery, delicate French pastries.
A super almond paste filled croissant - heavenly.
A pain au chocolat - simply the best I've ever had; a delicious bitter, dark chocolate filling in a perfect flaky pastry.
A small bread roll - very fine small round bread topped with delightful sugar crystals.
A plain croissant - a champion of croissants; an impeccable buttery croissant with a crispy shell. Like ONLY the French can do.
My observations would be that these little darlings are made with the very finest ingredients imported from France. It is impossible to reproduce these authentic tastes here from the local market.
