The Jazz & Blues Evening at LoYAC

Coco York & Mike Del Ferro gave a wonderful performance Tuesday night at the new LoYAC HQ. The concerts, one was held the previous night at Amricani Cultural Centre were presented by The US Embassy and American Voices.

Coco is a vocalist who has performed with Lionel Ritchie, BB King and many others and Mike is a pianist, composer and arranger who has performed worldwide and is currently the Jazz Programs Director of American Voices.

It was a late start but well worth the wait. The audience were entertained and enthralled by some fine adaptations of golden oldies including Fly Me to the Moon, Bye Bye Blackbird, My Funny Valentine and Summertime. Later, a talented local Romanian lady joined them for an impromptu jamming session which was also very good.

The finale was a short but amazing performance by a group of local breakdancers. A small sample..

A big thank you to LoYAC for the lovely evening and the refreshments.
