AWARE- Unique Poetry Night with 'Kazeh' by Kuwaiti poet Abdul-Hadi Mohammed

Tuesday, 23rd March  at 7pm in the diwaniya, Aware Center, Surra.

One of the first, young Anglophone poets and marked as the one who started a literary revolution on the local side. Kazeh is a young, prominent writer of the Kuwaiti Independent Writers Circle known for his satirical style and commentaries on issues regarding Kuwait and its youth; a poet renowned for his unique and self-invented poetry style. The topics of his poems wander around the physical and spiritual aspects of life and death from love, friendship, sacrifice and patriotism to the talk of souls and faith in God.

Abdul-Hadi known as 'Kazeh' was born in Kuwait in 1988. Born with eczema throughout his body, he was taken to many doctors whom were shocked not by his disease but by his ability to talk at nine months old. He was fascinated with reading during his childhood. He also carried a passion for learning about history, religions and languages.

Kazeh published his first poetry book 'The Throne' in 2008, which was released at Kuwait’s 33rd International Book Fair. 'The Throne' was displayed in three bookshops in the book fair. A week later, all three of them announced that it was a bestseller.

Kazeh released his second book of poems entitled 'Breeze of Eloquence' in 2009 at Kuwait’s 34th International Book Fair. The book was sold by the Kuwaiti bookshops which announced later that 'Breeze of Eloquence' was a bestseller in their bookshops and the most popular selling English book at the book fair.

All are welcome.
