Hyenas in Kuwait?

The  little Striped Hyena has graduated on to the next phase of her life. After living with John Peaveler and Ayeshah Al-Humaidhi at Animal Friends, Kuwait for almost 4 months, Ayana has been transported to the Al-Ayn Wild Life Park in the UAE. Ayana came to them in a litter of three after being brought into Royal Animal Hospital for treatment. The individual who had them did not know how to care for them so at less than two weeks old, the pups arrived at the vet hospital severely hypothermic and malnourished. AF decided on Al-Ayn because there she will be an ambassador for her species and take part in conservation education. They felt this was the most valuable use of her life. AF will miss her terribly but proud to see her take part in the protection of her species and others. Wataniya Airways sponsored Ayana's trip to Dubai along with an accompanying staff member. A big thank you to Wataniya Airways from AF for their continued support.

LWDLIK- Why would somebody bring hyenas into Kuwait? Presumably the parents of the pups are still in Kuwait?

Animal Friends/ K'S PATH are a non-government organisation, the animal shelter depends on private donations.
