Clothes, Books, Electrical Goods, Toys Donations to Basta

Basta is a local, sustainable, non-profit initiative who deliver monthly donations of clothes, toys, books, etc to Bedoon families in dire need in Kuwait. Monetary funds also go towards paying school fees for children whose parents could not otherwise afford them. They are always in need of your kind donations and sometimes in need of volunteers. Whatsapp 92216287.

Basta are responsible for the walls of kindness popping up in Kuwait where items are left for those who need them to help themselves. Big love.

They can be followed on Instagram where you can view items for sale and DM them for viewing and to arrange donations.

Kuwait Animal Rescuers Need Santa Paws To Come To Town

Sadly, the only licensed shelter (K's PATH) has closed - much to the sadness and bewilderment of many. It is very hard to get a license for a shelter and therefore get registered as a charity in Kuwait due to previous so-called humanitarian charities channeling funds to ISIS, consequently it is almost impossible to get sponsorship for another shelter. The above individuals use their own funds, time and energy saving these poor souls that society has forgotten. Give big it's Christmas.

Review: Sinbad the Sailor and the Emerald of Eternity

The wonderful members of Staged In Kuwait Productions served up yet another hilarious, slapstick, side-splitting panto. The English School auditorium is a perfect venue for the audience with tiered seating and a great sound system. The free drinks and outdoor seating during the break were very welcome.

Our favourite sparkly dame (Tim Wadell) took to the colourful stage and led the amazing cast and audience on a theatrical extravaganza. Non-stop entertainment. The costumes, dancing, singing, props and acting were all first class and the audience thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I have to say I absolutely loved Crunchbones (Yousef Alobaid) he didn't have to say anything he was hilarious just doing nothing, a true gift. And the brilliant Andrew Batty was almost unrecognisable as the darstardly Cassim. So many talented actors, actresses and crew giving up their time and making enormous efforts to bring us great theatre. Thank you so very, very much we really are so very lucky to have you all.

Merry Christmas.

To take to the stage yourself or keep updated with upcoming productions go to their website http://stagedinkuwait.com for info.

Humanitarian Appeal Please Help

The founder of Second Chance Charity Shop, along with some volunteers, visited a centre that helps Filipino ladies that have been victims of human trafficking. They are now safe and well looked after but need some small things as you can see in the pictures.

There's about 150 ladies who are being looked after and some children ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years. Your help is much appreciated.
