Just arrived with a teenager a week ago, totally freaked out..need to make friends...anyone want to meet for coffee? ec_hopkins@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi ec_hopkins, I'm just about to leave for a holiday. Try http://theblskuwait.com or follow me on Facebook and I'll tag you on some pages that might be helpful. Please post the same on the FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ladies-who-do-lunch-in-Kuwait and hopefully you'll get some responses and info. Tell us a bit more about you on FB. Hang in there ;O) Kim x
DeleteGood morning Ladies,
ReplyDeletemove to Kuwait three months ago, would love to be a part of a women social club. I work during the week but I am off on the weekend. Do any one have any suggestions or ideas, is there a really a "Ladies Who Do Lunch In Kuwait" club.
Hello there
DeleteDon't do 'actual' lunches. Do keep you updated with things going on in Kuwait and there's a huge archive of things on the blog for you to get yourself acquainted. For a women's social club try www.theBLS.com, or mixed www.bbfkuwait.com or www.aware.com.kw. Hope this helps. Weekends are best spent lounging in the sun at the Radisson SAS, The Corniche or Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Kuwait's tough on wallflower types so get out there and mingle. People are friendly (sometimes overly ;O), be prepared for some crazy driving stunts on the roads, be open and tolerant and remember this is not England.
Tennis PLEASE! I have played social and league tennis for many years in South Africa and would love to join a social group here. I have trawled the web but have not had much luck. I don't want lessons - I am just desperate to get back on court and play!
ReplyDeleteHopefully someone out there will have some ideas.
Thank you. Lovely site this - lots of interesting things
I'll ask around and get back to you.
DeleteThis is the number of the coach at Tennis Academy 60634691 I'm sure she will be able to offer you more info.
