Bright Minds Kids Summer Dance Camps
Ms Bri the dance teacher at Bright minds will be holding a series of dance workshops over July and August at Bright Minds in Sabah al Salem block 4. She will be teaching Street Dance (similar to hip hop and modern dance) and Ballet. The camps are open to both girls and boys from ages 3 to 6 years.

The Frightfully Good Haunted Hotel in Dubai's IMG Worlds of Adventure to Open Soon at The World's Largest Ever Indoor Theme Park
Check-in is alarmingly fast, the service is awfully good, and the staff are hauntingly accommodating at The Haunted Hotel in IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park opening 15th August, 2016. But at least you won’t die of boredom…..
For those in search of something eerily different, The Haunted Hotel is a must visit for residents looking for a quick “staycation” and for tourists wanting something out of the ordinary. This unique property, owned by the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, guarantees a night you’ll never forget.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a sickly stench that fills the air and can later enjoy the haunting soundtrack of hair-raising screams. Although they may try and grab your attention, mingling with other guests is not advised.
Brothers Jack and Scott Donavan manage this questionable establishment, taking extra special care of their victims, oops - we mean guests! Ultimately, this is the appeal of Dubai’s latest hotel – it is one long nightmare of distress and despair from the moment you arrive!
The Haunted Hotel is not the kind of place where you can expect fresh towels and luxury shampoos. Similarly, the food is a meat-lovers delight. Unethically sourced by the hotel’s butcher, every dish, once it arrives, looks horribly familiar…

About IMG Worlds of Adventure
IMG Worlds of Adventure will open in its entirety on 15th August, 2016, with the exception of the 12-screen Novo Cinema, which will open shortly thereafter. Tickets are currently available for online purchase on the website, www.IMGworlds.com, with adult ticket prices set at AED 300 and children at AED 250 for an all-day adventure offering access to over 20 signature rides and attractions, including live shows and a 5D cinema experience. The park will welcome over 30,000 visitors a day.

I was a little shocked and horrified to find so many of my friends unsure of the emergency number for the police. Will so be using the Consumer Protection number seeing as I'm always threatening to.

Brutal Sex Attack on European Woman in Spanish Villas, Salwa Block 10
A lady was brutally attacked in her home last Monday evening by a knife-wielding teenager. She was waiting for some cookies to finish in the oven and had opened the door of her home to let out smoke from her cigarette as she waited. She noticed a shadow outside and quickly realised it was a man who was fixated on her and masturbating. She screamed and moved towards the door to close and lock it but he made a lunge towards the door and try to push it open, she still had the cigarette in her hand and so burnt his neck to get him to back off. She closed the door and moved away from the door only to realise that she had not locked the door properly and the assailant opened the door and entered her home. He drew a small knife and tried to push her down and cut at her clothes. The female victim managed to overpower him and get away and raise the alarm. None of her neighbours or harris responded to her screams and door banging. Eventually the harris came out to see what all the commotion was but the attacker had fled the scene. The good news is he has been apprehended by police and identified, bad news is she feels terrified to go back to her apartment and the building management have denied her requests to have the outer doors locked for the residents protection or allow her to put a re-enforced door on her apartment (at her cost).
We are also hearing of increasing incidents in Salwa area of maids being accosted by men in cars.
Be aware, be cautious, lock doors and windows, keep curtains drawn at night, don't go near men calling you from cars, brief your kids and maids, scream, shout, fight and run away from any situations that seem inappropriate and dangerous. Always keep your phone with you if out walking and try to take a photo of car number plate if you can. If you have been attacked call police immediately as they will need to investigate and take prints ASAP. Always report incidents to police at your local station or call 112 if you need assistance.

The Light Within - Armenian Soul and Dance Theatre
As part of the annual music festival LAPA is collaborating with @kw_nccal to present "The Light Within". Join us for a night of Armenian Soul and Dance Theatre!
Sofi Devoyan's Soul and Dance Theatre is a cultural centrewhere children are taught national and traditional Armenian dances, the history of art, as well as Armenian theatre and ethics.
This performance will be a folklore blend between the Armenian and the Arab cultures. This show is free of charge and requires previous registration through the link in our bio.

Humanitarian Appeal Please Help
The founder of Second Chance Charity Shop, along with some volunteers, visited a centre that helps Filipino ladies that have been victims of human trafficking. They are now safe and well looked after but need some small things as you can see in the pictures.
There's about 150 ladies who are being looked after and some children ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years. Your help is much appreciated.
