#1. The best protection for women is not to live in a patriarchal society surround by misogynist men.
#2. Naive ad!!
#3. In Egypt women get harassed in the streets all the time whether they are veiled or not, and everyone of us knows at least 1 Hijabi woman that was harassed in the streets of Cairo! It does nothing to protect women...!LWDLIK- Why not an ad to teach men to respect women and curb their wanton lust. It is the sole responsibility of men to behave like decent human beings at all times not like rampant, lecherous, demented, sex-obsessed animals. Those same men are husbands, sons, brothers. If you are dealing with such men the best protection is a cattle prod or a tazer :OD
They forgot to add the matching 5' stilettos, drag queen makeup and tight jeans to complete the look. Just teasing... ;P
ReplyDeleteI saw a Western woman wearing the hijab the correct way the other day in Jabriya and she looked lovely.
My sisters-in-law and nieces, who wear hijab, always look very elegant in theirs. But mostly I like that their tasteful clothing and behaviour is equally very modest. It is important to them the impression they give. They are fine examples of their religion. I love them for their kind and thoughtful acts. They are tolerant and not imposing. And I appreciate that very much.
ReplyDeleteI dare a male film production team to make a commercial that shows how men should do as Koran says, to cast their gaze down, and not AT women. After all, half of the game must be played by the other half. Especially the other half that are blaming the first half.
