Guided Tour: Kuwait National Museum & Planetarium

The Kuwait National Museum includes the Heritage Museum, the Archaeological Museum, Boom AlMuhallab & the Planetarium. The collection exhibited in the museum portrays the rich history of Kuwait and includes the art collection of Al-Sabah family, the collection of dhows, & the archeological findings in Failaka reflect the complexity of Kuwait history.
The Heritage Museum highlights the importance of Kuwait history from the very first days of its founding. A trip through this section will take you on a journey through Kuwait’s history.
The Archaeological Museum displays artifacts found on archeological sites such as the Failaka Island; including the fossils & artifacts from the Hellenistic era.
Damaged during the Gulf War in 1990, the Planetarium was rebuilt in the early 2000s, and was upgraded with fulldome capabilities along with Uniview to enable state of the art interactive storytelling in a 3D environment.

Food of the Middle East brings with it a variety of exotic flavors. While some dishes will be fragrant others will be spicy, delicate or at times, even syrupy. From dates, saffron, rose petals and orange blossom to cardamom or cumin - these are but a few of the ingredients comprising the fascinating cuisine of the Middle East. Join us at the AWARE Center to learn more about Middle Eastern food from our cooks.

Guided Tour: Grand Mosque
For a rewarding, spiritual & informative experience.
This is a 1½ tour of one of Kuwait’s most famous landmarks. Ladies are required to cover - long sleeves and long ankle length skirt, otherwise the mosque will provide a cloak. If you have your own scarf you’re welcome to bring it.
Cameras are allowed.
Children are welcome.

Movie Night: Where Do We Do Now?
Synopsis: Christians & Muslims lived peacefully together for years in this small Lebanese village, but animosities begin to build among the men as a result of slights & misunderstandings. The women of the village conspire to avert sectarian strife though a series of harebrained plans, none of which succeeds in slowing down the escalating spiral of violence. When tragedy strikes, the women find themselves driven to make a deeply personal sacrifice for the sake of peace.

Tour: Bait AlOthman Museum
Inaugurated by the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on April 8, 2013, this Museum hosts rare historical items & antiques for old Kuwaiti houses. Decorating the walls of its Art Gallery are paintings & belongings of Kuwaiti Artists. There are also the crafts & Kuwaiti dhow models on display.
