I was talking to my niece the other day who was saying how she had told her company on joining them that she would not travel to Saudi (even though she is a Kuwaiti). And then months later she was in a meeting with a Saudi woman who works for Uber in Saudi and this woman told her they are actively training Saudi women drivers for the day they can drive in Saudi (hopefully this year). But not just this in particular the Saudi woman was dynamic, optimistic, enthusiastic and full of great ideas. And my niece said she actually changed her whole perception from this one interaction and told her company that she would take on travelling to Saudi for meetings.
It feels as if these women have been preparing themselves for this day for a very long time and they are going to seize the opportunity to show what they have. Power to them, wishing them all great success.
I may have to eat my hat after all. Happily so.
