Just heartbreaking. Nadine Labaki is reported to have said she saw these poor refugee children every day in Lebanon and wondered how they lived and where they lived. It became an obsession of hers until she made the movie and exposed the cruel and tragic lives of the underprivileged.

Wow. That looks amazingly powerful.
ReplyDeleteYup! Surprised me and made me happy to see someone tackle this problem rather than continue to ignore it. I look forward to seeing the movie. Much respect to Ms Labaki and these amazing actors whose lives, I hope, are changed forever for the better.
