85,000 Kuwaitis & Expats Face Travel Ban

KUWAIT: More than 85,000 citizen and expats face a travel ban owing to court rulings, as well as financial debts. Sources said that there are nearly 40,000 citizens and 45,000 expats from ten countries like India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Philippines, Nepal and Ethiopia who face bans. Even a small debt of KD 20 could result in their names being placed on the ban list. – Al-Qabas

LWDLIK - Will try to find out where to check if you have a travel ban before you get to airport and get a nasty surprise.
Ok according to info on the US Embassy site you can use this link but you will need someone who speaks Arabic to help you.
Of course, I will be very happy if the idiots out there with speeding tickets, serious traffic violations, etc get their day spoiled.

honest to god kim, i know of an american woman who couldn't process through immigrations out of kuwait until 500 (five hundred!) in traffic fines were paid. that was back when they were installing cameras every where and she had lent her car to her daughter, son-in-law and others....
