Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah Children's Art Workshop

Children's Art Workshop at Americani Cultural Centre.
For children 6–12 yrs, will take a look at three new genres represented in Islamic art and revisit three most popular areas from the previous years. Saturday mornings in January from 9.30AM it’s all about wood and marquetry.
February, celebrate 50/20 with music.
In March, in anticipation of Mother’s Day, they’ll look at Mughal jewellery and the participants will try their hands at making memorable pieces.
Glass decorating is on the schedule for April.
And, as has become tradition, end the season with manuscripts and a child-produced stage production.

For children aged 13-18 yrs starting 12 January at 3:30, they’ll have a Poetry workshop. Over eight Wednesdays, the participants will define a poetry project and work with “guides” to successfully complete their project.
An eight-week calligraphy workshop for the same age group will follow, starting 23 March. Again, “guides” will be available to help participants with their projects. At the end of the season, the projects – poetry and calligraphy - will be included in an exhibition dedicated to “The Project”.

  2. My only request would be for a more intense course on every Saturday as it's so fun, interesting and educational or a summer school (preferably June :O)Thank you.
