I just heard from my friend Michelle that the Ahmadi lights seem to be going back up again. They probably need a few more days to put them all up but if you missed them last year it's a chance to see them. Will keep you posted.
How to get there; Head straight down the 40 expressway towards Ahmadi til you see the turn off to the right for Ahmadi, keep going straight til you pass the Governer's building you'll then see all the lights around the park area. There are parking lots and a great walking area all the way around the park so you get to see all most all of the lights. It's safe and fun. You need to go after sunset of course.
Update: Woohoo! They are looking spectacular this year..
