Yesterday was a manic day but lots of fun. My daughter, her friends and I went off to a noisy lunch at TGIF - service was very slow, kid's pasta tasteless, cowboy burger and chips infinitely inferior to Applebees ;o( But the kids enjoyed themselves.
Dashed over to Al Raya Mall in Sharq to Nail It Salon where the nail techinicians were waiting to give the girls their manis/pedis. Initially I was thinking 6KD for a kid's mani/pedi was a bit steep (some salons had quoted me less but didn't have 6 appointments available together) but once the wonderful staff started I soon realised it was worth every fil. It's a small salon with seperate area for the mani/pedis with seats for only 5 at a time so it's almost like you have the salon to yourselves
Soaking, sugar scubs, warm towels, hot chocolate and an amazing array of gorgeous glittery nail polish had the girls squealing with delight. Was lovely to see them behaving all so grown up, smiling from ear to ear and revelling in every second of their fab treatments. Then back home for a swim and to show off their nails to the kids at the pool.

Thank you, Nail It, it was a great experience for all, your staff were superb. As promised I'll be back alone without the princesses. The loyalty card is almost full so looking forward to the free mani/pedi :OD
Apologies to the clients who came in towards the end of the girls' treatments, I do hope the over-excited girls weren't too bothersome.
