SHIFT: Kuwait Film Night for Charity

























Featuring "Wonderland: A True Story" by Dana Al Mojil. [An adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, set in Kuwait. It highlights the similarities between modern Kuwait and Wonderland. Kuwait's Alice meets the Cheshire cat, the mad hatter, Mos'ad and Mes'ed (Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum), the caterpillar, the joker and the queen which will shape the outcome of the journey.























Featuring "The Sniper" by Dawood Shuail. To be screened Wed May 9.























Featuring "Hearts of Palm" by Faisal Al Nashmi. Set in August 1990, it revolves around Kuwaiti students living in Miami, Florida witnessing the traumatic events of the Gulf War. Bader (Bader AlWugayyan) decides to leave the States and go back to the warzone, his hometown.

Tickets KD 5 all proceeds are going to charities in Kuwait for children with special needs.

Kuwait Film Night will be held at Ghirnata Cinema, the last standing old cinema theatre in Kuwait.
